    'GROUP STUDIO'  is on-going at Gallery Gazelle, 1136 Main Street, Philomath.

   

The price includes:

*Your own real estate, your own table where you can leave your art supplies out and ready for daily use.                   *Three thirty-minute private sessions with me.  (One and one half hours per month of private lessons, one on one)   *Open studio painting with group.  (9 hours/week of open studio)with feedback on each persons paintings daily,

         as requested. Some people will be there only one day per week, but you are welcome all three days. 

1. *Demos by Donna Beverly of painting with acrylic and watercolor techniques.  
   

2. *A refrigerator for any food items which needs refrigeration and a microwave for warming food/snacks.
   

* General instruction available on drawing, perspective, landscape, design, color, still life & portraiture, as requested.

* Easy & close parking on street and more parking in our back alley.

 

Advantages of studio group over subject-workshops:

There is more time to work with each artist individually.  Art storage is available onsite.  No need to transport your supplies and easel every day.  There are indoor and outdoor painting areas.  You learn what you need, rather than what the instructor has designed as a general subject.  Enjoy the company and knowledge of other artists.

About My Workshops

I teach drawing, acrylic & watercolor painting, some pastel instruction (limited to two persons) beginning drawing, design and color theory in the new Main Street “Group Studio” in Philomath, Oregon.  I have been painting and teaching since 1970 and have a master’s degree in drawing and painting, with an emphasis in principles of design.  All instruction emphasizes the creative process as well as technical skills.  The Group Studio is aimed at all levels.  I do recommend that you have a beginning drawing class as a basis for the Group Studio.  Most workshops are limited to 12 artists so that more individual instruction is available.

PRIVATE LESSONS:

If you are interested in private lessons, the charge is $40/hour with a minimum of two hours per session.
